Stopping, he kept his hands over her eyes as Gage moved forward to sandwich her between them. Travis met Gage’s eyes and smiled. They had done it. They had managed to pull it off although there for a minute, he didn’t think they would be able to.
“Where are we?” Kylie asked, her hands coming to rest on his across her eyes. Her soft, cool fingers curved lightly around his, but she wasn’t trying to move them away.
“Merry Christmas, baby,” Travis said against her ear.
“Merry Christmas,” Gage whispered, leaning down to kiss her as Travis pulled his hands away.
Taking one step back, he kept his eyes on her as she looked up at Gage and then around the room.
“Oh, my…” Kylie inhaled on a gasp. “Is this…?”
“It is,” Travis confirmed before she could even ask. “Officially your new office.”
When Kylie had moved in, Travis had had no idea how much stuff she had stuffed in her garage. Things she used all the time for her renovation business. And now, all of those things were in a storage unit because they hadn’t been able to get another garage built to replace the dilapidated one that Kylie had torn down during the renovation on Gage’s house.
So this seemed to make sense.
“You did this for me?” she asked, turning in a circle.
Travis smiled down at her as she stood just a few feet away, one hand on her heart, the other hovering over her lips. He could see the tears in her eyes, and his heart cracked.
“Do you like it?” Gage asked.
“I… Oh my God, I love it. It’s amazing. I have my own office.” Kylie’s enthusiasm escaped on a sob as she moved across the room.
She slid one hand over the small reception desk that they’d placed in the front office area. Travis had no idea whether she’d need an assistant right away, but as word got out on what she’d done to Gage’s farmhouse, she was getting more and more calls, which meant she was only going to need more help as she grew her small renovation company.
“Come here,” Gage said, taking her hand in his. “Let me show you the rest of the place.”
Travis followed them down the hall. On the left side was a small break room with a table, microwave, even a vending machine they had managed to get for cheap. They’d hung a flat panel television on the wall and even added a small sofa where she could sit and relax if she needed to.
The next room was the oversized restroom. Taking a few tips from V, Travis had bought items to make the room girly. Not quite his taste, but with V’s help, it looked like a fancy chick bathroom. If Kylie’s grin was anything to go by, he’d impressed her.
A little farther down the hall and on the opposite side was an office. There was actually only one office space, however, if necessary, Travis knew they could expand into the storage room at the back. But for now, this was all he figured Kylie would need.
“Oh, wow.” Kylie’s eyes lit up, and she turned to glance at both of them before turning back to take it all in. “This is… Wow.”
Ok, so yes, they had put a little time and effort into her office. Neither of them had skimped on any part of the décor, which was why they had hired Sierra McCoy - Ackerley to assist. And, true to form, the woman had worked miracles. The small space had been beige and boring when they purchased it, but not anymore. Every room had its own individuality, the furnishings were elegant, the decorations professional and suitable to Kylie’s personality.
“I love this,” she told them as she turned back around. “This is…” A tear slid down Kylie’s pale cheek, and Travis moved forward at the same time Gage did. They both enveloped her in their arms, holding her safely between them.
“This is more than I deserve,” she whispered.
“See, that’s where you’re wrong. You deserve everything,” Travis told her, his heart expanding to twice its size. He loved this woman and this man. More than he ever had anticipated and being able to put a smile on their faces was what made all of it worthwhile.
“You work so hard, and you don’t ask for anything. Somehow you manage to work around the two of us, so we figured you deserved a space of your own,” Gage explained, his hand smoothing Kylie’s hair as he met Travis’ gaze above her head.
“You haven’t seen the best part yet,” Travis said, taking her hand and leading her back into the hall.
“Well, I’m not sure about that. I’m quite fond of that couch in the break room. I think I might just have to test it out.”
Travis’ cock stirred. Kylie was teasing him, he knew.
Opening the door at the very end of the hallway, Travis stepped back and allowed Kylie to walk inside first.
