Killer (The Skulls #5) Page 35
Author: Sam Crescent

Tears fell down her face. The conversation dulled any kind of arousal she had. “No, you can’t do that. It’s not fair.”

“But you taking your own life was?”

“It was different.”

“No, it wasn’t any different. The next time you even think of ending your life I want you to remember this conversation.”

He slammed his lips down on hers, plundering his tongue into her mouth.

Kelsey kissed him back knowing there was nothing more for her to say. She couldn’t bear being the cause of taking Killer’s life. Hating what she had done, Kelsey held onto him.

“Now, we’re going to bed to sleep,” he said, lifting her in his arms and drawing her back to bed.

This time she settled down without any argument. Killer wrapped his arms around her waist holding her in place.

Zero returned to the clubhouse later that night. Everyone was in bed, and he headed to the kitchen to grab a beer. Killer’s offer had been f**king appealing, but Fort Wills was his home. There was no way he’d be leaving his home because he couldn’t get his feelings under control over a f**king woman. He was better than that.

Popping open the cool beer he took a long swallow.

He needed to get his thoughts under control before he lost his mind over Sophia. She wasn’t anything special at all apart from the fact she’d been the one woman he wanted and couldn’t have. Yes, Angel was a beauty, and so were Tate and Eva, but there was something different about Sophia.

Fuck, Nash should be his main priority as he was a Skull, his brother. He shouldn’t be having these feelings for Nash’s woman. Swallowing down more of the alcohol he stared up at the ceiling praying for some kind of sign to get him over her.

“Oh, you’re back,” Sophia said, appearing in the doorway.

Give me a f**king break already.

“Yeah, I just got in.” He moved away from the fridge, brushing past her as she walked to it.

“How are Kelsey and Killer?” she asked.

“Fine, last time I checked they got there safely and we’ve got nothing to worry about.” He tipped the bottle back, swigging more of the beer down.

“Good, I’m glad. I was worried about you all.” She pulled out a bottle, and he watched her place it in the microwave.

“Is she up?” he asked, referring to her daughter.

“Yeah, Nash is calming her down while I get the bottle.” She tested the bottle then turned back to him. “Are you all right?”

Zero watched her lean against the fridge. Her dark hair spread out around her. She wore one of Nash’s shirts, which came to her knees. Instead of thinking she looked a mess, he got turned on by the sight of her alone.

Closing the distance between them, he sank his fingers into her hair. She gasped, eyes widening as she stared up at him.

“What are you doing?” she asked.

Her hand pressed on his chest. Leaning down he was a breath away from her lips.

Don’t do this. A line will be crossed.

Gritting his teeth, he forced himself to pull away. “Fuck!” Slamming his fist against the fridge, he took a step away. “Stay the f**k away from me.”

He stormed out of the room ignoring the shock and fear reflected in her eyes. Zero knew he needed to get his shit together before he ruined his position within the club.

Chapter Eleven

Killer heard Kelsey in the kitchen. From the sheer nightgown lying in the laundry basket he knew she was fully dressed. Rubbing the sleep from his eyes he glanced around the room wishing he’d woken to her in his arms. The scent of coffee wafted up to him. Climbing out of bed, he did his business and turned the shower on. He needed to wake up fully. Being sleepy was not going to do for the rest of the day.

Stretching the sleep out of his body, he turned the shower on waiting for the water to warm up. Since the night of Kelsey’s attempted suicide he’d not slept well at all. He’d not been lying last night either. There was no reason for him to keep on living if he didn’t have his woman. Letting the warm water cascade down his body, he fisted his length feeling the arousal start to stir.

Thinking about Kelsey in the sheer nightwear he moaned, resting his head on his arm as he worked his arousal. If she’d not pulled away last night he’d have been tempted to f**k her. There was only so much a man could take before he gave in to temptation and took what he wanted. The imagined feel of her tight cunt brought him to orgasm quickly. He gritted his teeth keeping the noise locked inside.

The orgasm was nice but not what he really craved. Watching the white strands of his se**n wash down the drain, he finished in the shower. Once out, he dried and dressed himself quickly. The scent of bacon mingled with the coffee, calling to him.

Heading downstairs, he placed a shirt over his head, rounding the corner to find Kelsey standing in a pair of jeans and shirt.

She turned to smile at him. The shirt was long enough to hide the bandages on her arms. Sandy had told him she’d need to change them this morning and had talked him through what he needed to do.

“Morning,” she said.

“Morning.” He walked to her, landing a kiss on her head before taking a seat. Looking down at his hand he stared at the gold band on his wedding ring. Fuck, he was starting to feel like a f**king pu**y. Killer wanted to bind Kelsey to him giving her no choice but to stay with him.

He wished their marriage was f**king real. Fisting his hands, he thought about Michael wondering what the bastard was thinking right that second.

“Did you sleep well?” he asked.

“Yeah, I hope you don’t mind. I started making some breakfast for us both,” she said, handing him a coffee.

Grabbing her hand, he tugged her close after she’d put the steaming mug in front of him. “I missed you.” She rested on his lap with her hands gripping his shoulders.

“I wanted to make you something,” she said. Her gaze dropped to his lips. Cock filling back up, he claimed her lips, sliding his tongue inside her mouth.

She pulled away first. “The bacon will burn.”

Releasing her, he let her go to finish breakfast. Sipping his coffee, he watched her move around the kitchen. Her ass was so f**king full, begging to be spanked. He couldn’t wait to get her ready to sink inside her tight flesh.

“This is our house now, Kels. You’ve got to get used to working inside it,” he said, taking another sip of coffee.

“I know. It’s just weird.” She served up their breakfast, moving to sit beside him. The shirt she wore was tight around her br**sts, showcasing the full mounds.
