Nash (The Skulls #3) Page 43
Author: Sam Crescent

Kelsey was having a hard time with Killer. The dental nurse wouldn’t visit Killer. Kelsey spoke with the women, and Nash even saw her hanging out at the salon with them, but she wouldn’t give Killer the time of day.

Out of his drug haze, Nash was able to properly mourn the death of Mikey and even took flowers to Kate’s graveside with Sophia. Together they said goodbye to her sister. He’d not been tempted by drugs, and he wouldn’t touch drink either. When the parties were in full swing, he settled for a soda or water. He wasn’t prepared to fall off the wagon.

Sophia stayed with him and even started going back to college. After three weeks of looking they’d found a house near his brother’s. They had put down a deposit and were moving in within the next week. His brothers were helping with the move. Zero helped the most and spent a lot of time with Sophia. The friendship between his woman and Zero was confusing but it worked, and he wasn’t going to take something like that away from them. Nash couldn’t stop the guy’s feelings. He just hoped Zero wasn’t stupid enough to act on them.

After everything that happened, Chaos Bleeds stayed in town for some time, celebrating their kills. Nash actually enjoyed their company. Devil was one mean son of a bitch. He didn’t know how Devil and Tiny were friends, but everyone could see a bond between the two men. They’d clearly been through a lot together.

The other biker group only left when Whizz coughed up some information. Kayla had a sister by the name of Lexie. They gave him the town and an address for the woman. With that tucked away in his pocket, Devil rode out, taking all of his group with him.

Sitting on the edge of his bed, Nash looked up to see Sophia walking out of the bathroom. She wore a denim skirt that ended at her knee and one of his rock shirts. His c**k thickened, and he wanted to throw her to the bed and f**k her senseless.

“What are you doing?” she asked, looking at his notebook then back at him.

“I’m doing some rough calculations for the work we want doing. The guys have agreed to help with the building.” He tapped his pencil on the book. Working on the house took his mind off other worries like the fact she still hadn’t had her monthly cycle. All the time they’d been together, she hadn’t stopped him at all.

She walked over, pressing her hand to the page. “Stop worrying about the expense. I don’t need everything done immediately. I like to take my time with projects. Everything is going to be fine.”

Dropping the book to the floor, he reached out, sinking his fingers into her hair and drawing her close. “Then kiss me, baby.”

He swallowed down her moan as his other hand ran his fingers up the inside of her thigh. Nash couldn’t keep his hands off her. All he ever wanted to do was f**k her and f**k her hard.

“Stop screwing around, you two. It’s time for your send off party,” Lash said, kicking the door as he passed.

Sophia giggled, dropping her head to his chest. Chuckling, Nash stroked the curls off her face. “We better go and face the music. Tiny’s going to kick our ass out of the room.”

“Come on. It’s time for us to go,” she said, taking hold of his hand. “I’m ready for a send off.”

They exited the bedroom together, and as they hit the stairs the room erupted in applause. Nash smiled, enjoying the whistles and catcalls coming their way. Sophia was one of them now, and the club had accepted her as part of their family. He couldn’t have asked for anything more.

She hadn’t married him yet. Tate was organizing a wedding for Christmas. He didn’t care as long as his name was on a piece of paper signaling their marriage.

Tiny and Eva was stood side by side watching them.

“Tonight we’re celebrating the end of our enemies and the start of new beginnings,” Tiny said, raising his glass.

Nash was handed a soda, and he noticed Sophia had the same.

“The last couple of months, in fact the last few years, have been rocky for all of us.” Tiny turned to Angel and Lash. “We’re all stronger for having a woman prepared to take the risks.” He moved to Tate and Murphy. “We’ve lost something we can never get back, and I know Mikey would have had so much to say. Beside all of the shit, we’re being given a chance to keep living, to keep moving and to bring the future Skulls into the fold.”

The emotion was welling up inside Nash.

“So I propose a toast to Angel and Lash for their unborn child and to the child they lost. You guys deserve so much happiness, and I know it’s going to be one spoiled brat. To Tate and Murphy, we’ll never forget what you could have lost, and we’ll embrace what comes of the future. And to my grandbaby. To Nash, you f**ked up, man, but that’s all in the past. I’m lucky to have you on my team. Sophia, you brought him back and make him a better man. The Skulls will protect you for the rest of your life.” Tiny’s glass rose in the air. “To new beginnings, bad endings, and a future filled with promise.”

Sipping at the soda Nash wrapped his arm around Sophia’s shoulders. Sandy was stood beside the music box. The good doctor had finally made it through even though it had been touch and go.

“Let’s make some noise.” The music was turned up to blasting. Sandy climbed on the table followed by several sweet-butts, Rose, and Tate. The dancing was not rushed or a riot. The women who’d been hurt took it steady. Nash saw Tate being careful as she moved. Murphy was right there, supporting her.

He heard Sophia giggling at their dancing. She put the glass down, wrapping her arms around his shoulders.

“Nah, you’ve not got a chance,” Tate said, reaching down to grab Sophia’s hand. His woman didn’t let Tate hurt herself. “It’s time for a dance. Angel, you may be preggers, but get your ass up here. Hold on, I’m preggers, too. Fuck, we’ve got to celebrate. ”

Nash stood back as he watched his woman surrounded by her friends. He was so f**king lucky to call her his woman.

Sipping at his soda he watched her having the time of her life. He wouldn’t spoil this for her.

Lash stood beside him. “Watching my woman dance is one of my favorite things to do.”

He understood why. Watching Sophia swing her h*ps from side to side to the music turned him the f**k on. The moment he got her to their home, he was having her ass. All of their worries were behind them. In no time at all they’d be married.

After four hours of watching her dance and sing with the other old ladies and sweet-butts, Nash lost his patience. He picked her up and carried her outside to the car. His bike was in desperate need of some repairs.
