Entrusted (Club Destiny #7) Page 32
Author: Nicole Edwards

Not often did Samantha engage in such personal conversation with practical strangers, but she was opening up nicely to Elijah. Whether they were talking about business or sex, the two of them never wavered in their responses. The topics continued to border on intimately personal, at least as much as Sam was willing to discuss in a public setting such as this one, but she was holding her own.

Logan could tell that Elijah was impressed. Or perhaps enamored was a better word for it. He could see the lust burning in Elijah’s eyes. The man wanted Sam. And it was a fucking turn on to watch.

There was unquestionably attraction on his part, but Logan couldn’t blame the guy. Sam was a remarkable sight that was for sure. She’d managed to catch his attention from the second he laid eyes on her on his computer monitor during a video conference call and even after all this time, Logan was just as intrigued by her.

Now that dinner was finished, dessert passed up and coffee being savored, Logan had to wonder what was going to happen next. His original plan had been to take Sam to Devotion, but based on the fire kindling right there at the table, he was beginning to think somewhere a little more private was in order.

A few minutes later, it was clear they were finished and ready to move on to something else. He just wasn’t sure what that was at the moment.

Logan didn’t have a chance to pick up the check because apparently Elijah had taken care of that beforehand. Or so he’d been told when Logan had excused himself from the table and approached the waiter directly. He’d have to hand it to the guy; Elijah knew how to take care of everything.

He had to confess to watching Elijah with genuine interest for some time during the night. The man was refined and extremely confident, making it difficult not to pay attention to him. He didn’t appear to be playing games with Sam. Instead, he was straightforward with both his questions and his answers. He didn’t stumble with his answers, didn’t insert filler words at any time, and he didn’t fidget.

He’d been completely up front with Sam and the only time Logan saw Sam falter was when Elijah touched her. Hell, he had faltered himself. Not that he could see what Elijah was doing, but based on the expression on Sam’s face, he knew that his wife had been enjoying his touch.

“What do you say we get out of here?” Logan asked, wanting to get this moving. He didn’t care one way or the other if Sam decided not to take things to the next level tonight, but he did want to know which direction they would be headed.

“I think that’s a wonderful suggestion,” Elijah added, glancing over at Logan. He got the sense that Elijah was used to making all of the decisions.

“I know we had planned to go to Devotion,” Sam stated, glancing between the two of them. “But I was wondering if maybe we could go somewhere else.”

“Did you have somewhere in mind?” Elijah asked.

“Our house,” she said quickly, her voice quivering with what Logan assumed was nerves.

It was the question of the hour. Based on the fact that Sam asked, Logan knew she was still interested.

“I would love to,” Elijah said softly as he glanced between the two of them.

That was Logan’s cue. If he were in agreement, he would stand. So he did. As did Elijah. They both waited for Samantha to rise. The three of them headed toward the door, Elijah leading the way.

“You good with this?” Logan whispered to Sam as they stepped out into the warm evening air.

Her quick smile was her only answer and Logan took her hand. Elijah said a quick goodbye, informing them he’d see them at their house shortly as Logan handed the ticket to the valet. While they waited, Logan texted Elijah their address so he could get directions on his phone, per his request.

A few minutes later, Logan was pulling away from the curb, heading home.

“Are you really ok with this?” Sam mumbled as she sat quietly in the passenger’s seat.

Logan glanced over at her as he reached for her hand. Their fingers linked and he returned his focus on driving.

“Sam, if I had any doubts whatsoever, I wouldn’t have introduced you to Elijah. I like the guy. I think he’s a good man. Am I hesitant? Sure. A little. Do I want to see him fuck you crazy? Yeah, I fucking do.” That was no less than the truth. “I’m not trying to think this to death. I don’t want you to either.”

It was more than obvious that Sam liked Elijah. On a level that was more than sex. Honestly, Logan wasn’t sure what he thought of that. If he said he wasn’t interested in seeing what might happen between the two them, he’d be lying. It had been a long time since they’d invited a third to their bed so to speak. He was looking forward to it more than he was even letting on though. The idea of the man buried inside of Sam’s pussy while Logan fucked her ass was something he’d thought about plenty in recent days.
